Did you want to see CGI’d Johnny Depp as baby Jack Sparrow hanging out on Javier Bardem’s big old ship?
I mean, why not, right?
The latest trailer for Pirate of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales gives us a better idea of what the plot might entail, from Bardem’s grudge against Jack Sparrow to Barbossa’s role in this whole mess.
And we’ve got another Will-Elizabeth replacement team? Man, it’s hard to find reliable ingenues these days.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is in theaters May 26, 2017.
Final adventure? Boo… Surely, if this is any good, and is financially successful, Disney will make more of them. Anyway, the trailer makes this look like the best one since the first one. I look forward to seeing it.
Man, I just really can’t muster up any enthusiasm for the two youngins. The first three movies had such great, interesting, funny characters. But the new kid…Henry? Just boring, boring, boring like a cardboard cut out. We’re not seeing much of the girl, so hopefully she’s more entertaining than a doe-eyed, mostly silent mermaid? I think we deserve better. I’d rather have Will (who’s at least a cameo) and Elizabeth. They make a good, solid comedic and dramatic team. Glad to have Barbossa, at least.
